How to install Paldesk on a WHMCS website?
First thing’s first – make sure to create a Paldesk account here. Once you have done that, proceed with a manual installation.
Manual installation
There are a few cases when the manual installation of a WHMCSs plugin is appropriate. For example, if you wish to control the placement and the process of installing a WordPress plugin or if your server does not permit automatic installation of a WHMCS.
To install a Paldesk – Live Chat & Helpdesk plugin manually, you should follow these steps:
Step 1: Download WHMCS file .zip from WHMCS marketplace to your desktop.
Step 2: Login to your WHMCS hosting site.
Step 3: Open some kind File Manager for listing Hosting files and directories and locate the WHMCS root directory where WHMCS is installed (also can be FTP or File manager in CPanel for example).
Step 4: Upload Extension (as .zip or tar.gz) to your WHMCS installation root directory.
Step 5: Unzip the file in a writeable temporary directory.
Step 6: The content of the unzipped folder should be copied to modules/addons.
Step 7: Then go to your WHMCS admin page and go to Setup > Addon modules.
Step 8: Find Paldesk and press Activate.
Step 9: To fill API Key fields, go back to the Paldesk app. Go to Administration > Embeddable elements and select the element you need: Website Widget, Easy Popup and/or Feedback.
Step 10: Click to the Install tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and copy the given API key.
Step 11: Return to WHMCS and then press on Configure and enter our Website Widget API Key.
Step 12: Press Save Changes.
