Placeholder

What is Placeholder?

Placeholder is something used or included temporarily as a substitute for something that is not known or must remain generic; that which holds denotes or reserves a place for something to come later. In placeholder data, you will want to include the real numbers as soon as you have them.

It could be an alternative text used in email drafts that will be edited, based on the context of the email is called “placeholders.” For example, if someone uses an email draft that has a placeholder “Good morning,” the placeholder will be automatically substituted for the date of the reply or the name of the employee. Placeholders make emails look more unique.
