Lead is a person or company who’s shown interest in a product or service in any kind of form. Maybe they filled out a form, subscribed to a blog, or shared their contact information in exchange for a coupon or other value. 

Sales teams, therefore, have the main responsibility to convert a maximum amount of leads to manage a good conversion rate.
