Interactive Voice Response is a pre-recorded message prompts that a customer can hear when contacting customer support. It allows for a significantly faster support process, as a series of voice commands can guide them through any simple process.
However, the interactive voice response has its limits and can be used only for simple requests. Moreover, it’s by far not the best way to interact with your customers. Due to the fact everything is done by a machine, there’s no human interaction. Many customers may prefer real-time chat with an actual person to computer interaction.
