This feature is an awesome addition to our existing website widget trigger. Like our regular trigger, it helps you motivate idle visitors on your site with links to a page or by allowing them to ask you a question. If a visitor clicks on a link you offered them, they will be redirected to a new page.
Although the Smart Trigger will launch whenever it’s enabled, regardless of your working hours or agent availability, we would suggest using it while you are online. When a visitor asks a question, they will start a new conversation with your team.
Where can you set it up?
You can access and customize the Smart Trigger feature in your Website Widget administration area (Administration / Embeddable elements / Website widget / Smart Trigger tab). There you will have the option to add delays or links, select colors and edit text.
Additionally, if you’ve connected several different departments to your chat widget, the smart trigger will assign a new conversation to the one department (and group) you specified.

Finally, once you’ve customized the trigger, it will appear on your website as seen in the example below:

Your new trigger will help your customers get quick access to support articles, popular pages on your site or start a chat with your support team.
