Common Android notification issues

The first thing you can do is to check your device permissions to the app and allow receiving notifications from Paldesk app. Note that notifications will not arrive in case of the following:

  • Your agent status is Not ready.
  • You are logged into the web or desktop app and active.
  • You are not signed into your Paldesk app.
  • You are logged into the wrong team (if you’re an agent in multiple teams).

If this is not the case, check out your mobile data or Wi-Fi connection. If you are using Wi-Fi connection keep your Wi-Fi always on during sleep mode. If you are using mobile data, check out if you allowed using it Paldesk app or turn off your data saver.

You can find problems in your battery settings. Problem with receiving notifications can occur if you are in power-saving mode. Another thing to have in mind is to make sure you don’t restrict background data on Paldesk app.

For devices running Android version 6.0.1, check that your battery optimization is not preventing Paldesk from sending you notifications:

  2. Select Battery.
  3. Tap the Overflow menu icon and choose Battery Optimization.
  4. Tap the downward caret and choose All apps.
  5. Tap Paldesk, then tap Don’t optimize.

Android 9.0

For devices running Android version 9, make sure the Adaptive Battery feature is not preventing Paldesk from sending you notifications:

  1. From the app drawer, tap Settings.
  2. Select Battery.
  3. Choose Adaptive Battery.
  4. Tap Restricted apps, and make sure Paldesk is not listed.

Third-party Apps

Uninstall any third-party task killers. These apps might hinder the Paldesk app from receiving notifications when you are not using it.

Some of the general troubleshooting you can try to check your Internet connection, you have enabled Do not disturb or Airplane mode. If none of the above works, try to clear app data and cache or turn off/on your phone.
