Create knowledge base categories to include different topics relevant to your website or service. Select the default image, category names and descriptions. Customize the color scheme to reflect your brand. Learn how to set things up below!
How can I create new knowledge base categories?
To create a new category, go to Administration > Knowledge base > Categories tab and click on “Add category“. Here’s what that looks like in the app:

A new window will open, where you will be able to modify the following:
- Category name – this is the title of your category.
- Category image – the avatar that will be displayed to your customers when they open your knowledge base and select a category. You can either upload a new image or select one of the existing Paldesk templates.
- Category description – here you can include a brief description of what your category is about.
- Colors – here you can set up the background and text colors, and customize them in line with your website and brand.

How can I edit or delete a category?
If you would like to edit or delete an existing knowledge base category, you can do that by clicking on one of the buttons, as seen in the short video below.
