How to install Paldesk on a Joomla website?
There are two ways you can do it. You can install it automatically or manually from the plugin site.
Before we start, if you don’t have a Paldesk Live Chat account already, click here and please create one now.
Step 1: Sign in to your Joomla account.
Step 2: Download ‘jm_paldesk_v1.1.0.zip’ from the plugin site and unzip it.
Step 3: In the Joomla administration panel, go to ‘Extensions’ and mouse-over the ‘Manage’ tab and click on ‘Install’.
Step 4: Select ‘Upload & Install Joomla Extension’. Click on ‘Choose File’ button and upload your file. Then click on ‘Upload & Install’.
Step 5: When the installation is complete, click on ‘Manage’ from the menu on the left side, find the “Paldesk Live Chat and Helpdesk“ plugin and enable it.
Step 6: Go to the ‘Extensions’ tab and click on ‘Plugins’. In the ‘Search’ window type in “Paldesk” to search for editable plugins and click on the search result to edit the plugin.
Step 7: Enter API KEY which you can find in your Paldesk dashboard. Go to Paldesk and log into your account. Next, choose ‘Administration’ from the left-side menu. Under ‘Embeddable elements‘ select ‘Website Widget‘. Click on ‘Install‘ and copy the API key at the bottom of the page.
Paste the API KEY into Joomla and click ‘Save’.
Step 8: Go to View Site on the bottom of your page (on the left side) or click on ‘My Joomla’ on the top of the page (right side).
