How can I install my Paldesk chat widget  using Google Tag Manager?

In order to install Paldesk using Google Tag Manager, you need to have a GTM account. If you don’t have one, you can create one here

Step 1: Click on the Create Account button

Step 2: Fill in the required information, as seen below:

Step 3:  Click on Create 

Step 4: Accept GTM Terms of Service

When you’ve done that you can install GTM onto your website. Proceed as following:

Once you accepted GTM terms of service a new pop-up window will appear with a code snippet. Copy the code and paste it onto every page of your website. Congratulations, you’ve successfully installed GTM onto your website. For additional information, you can check the Google guide here.

Install Paldesk live chat 

Let’s move to installing Paldesk live chat. To install Paldesk live chat you need to create a new tag and configure it.

Step 1: Go to Dashboard > Tag > New

Step 2: Name your Tag and click on Tag configuration, for tag type choose Custom HTML, as seen below:

Step 3: Now go to your Paldesk dashboard, Administration > Embeddable elements > Website Widget > Install and click on the Copy to clipboard. 

Step 4: Go back to GTM and paste the code. Thick the Support document write and then move on to the Triggering section, for example:

Step 5: In the triggering section choose Set triggers to all pages.

Step 6: Click on Save.

Step 7: Choose your tag and click on the Submit button, add a name and the description. Publish.
