Connect Skype to Paldesk
Skype is one of the most popular telecommunication apps in the world. Apart from classic chat, it offers video and voice calls. Skype provides you with a unique opportunity to hold video chats with your customers and business partners.
When it comes to Paldesk, Skype is an external channel, so messages will take place directly in the app and will not be recorded in Paldesk. When your customers send you a message, they will be redirected into the Skype platform and all interactions will remain there. Skype will then automatically start a call to your account or the number registered in Paldesk. You can use Skype as an external channel on all our price plans.
How to connect with Skype
Here is how you can set up Skype as an external channel in your Paldesk administration:
Step 1: Go to Administration > Embeddable elements > Website widget > Channels
Step 2: Enter a Skype username or number you would like to connect to your widget
Once customers open your widget and select the Skype button, they will be redirected into the Skype app and all communication will take place there.
